RELATIONSHIP / COUPLES COUNSELLING: Anne is an experienced family and couples psychotherapist with additional specialized training in communication, stress and resiliency. She supports and coaches couples wanting to improve communication and connection in their relationship in a safe environment. If you want to improve trust, respect, intimacy, or self esteem with your partner, or if your relationship is breaking down, Anne can help you set goals to work through, and explore the issues each of you has in a positive way. Once you have tools to re-restablish feelings of safety and security in your relationship, then we work on strategies to achieve a new understanding together and a plan for the future.
YOUTH / ADOLESCENT COUNSELLING: Children and adolescents often benefit from having someone talk to, to help them make sense of the changes along the path to adulthood. If your child is having difficulty with behaviour, with peer relationships, family conflict, stress, anxiety, depression, bullying, motivation, gender issues, or academic studies, Anne can help. She assists adolescents with motivation for life work and study and facilitates parent teen relationships. She has worked for 20 years helping adolescents develop self esteem and resiliency in their lives. She has been a certified trainer in for "Friends Resiliency Training", an international child and youth anxiety prevention program from Brisbane Australia and has been conferred with a 'trusted counsellor' designation by secondary students, sponsored by the Kanata Community Resource Centre. She has assisted children with bullying through peer tutoring groups and trains youth in mediation and peace building.

PARENTING: Over many years Anne has helped parents professionally with the challenges of raising children and has lead workshops in strategies to improve parenting. Addressing areas such as anxiety, depression, anger, giftedness, managing quality time, blended families, or parenting after separation, she provides parents and children with positive coping skills and assists children develop confidence and resiliency.
STRESS: INDIVIDUAL, SELF ACTUALIZATION: Anne works with adults, teenagers and children in anxiety and stress management. Her approach is to help you understand the nature and cause of your individual distress. She employs techniques to reduce and control your immediate symptoms in stressful situations; then works to change negative thought outcomes to increase positive thinking and self empowerment. Anne has presented workshops to professionals on anxiety and depression and maintains an active practice coaching individual clients. A key component in the therapy is a mutual trust relationship. The result is relief from the limitations that anxiety imposes on your life and in your relationships.
